The Teacup Moon

One quiet evening the moon slipped so low it seemed to rest inside a teacup of dew on the coral bells. It was a very small thing, and the friends almost hurried past it toward some bigger adventure.

But Lumi said to pause, because small moments can hold great wonder. So they sat very still and watched the little moon shiver in the dew. Pip's eyes went round with delight. No one spoke, and the quiet felt full.

For one gentle breath the whole meadow seemed to hold a tiny, perfect moon. The friends carried the wonder home like a warm secret to keep. Small moments, they learned, can be the biggest ones of all, and bedtime came softly.
