The Mountain Echo
Ages 4–8 · kind words
On a low, friendly mountain the friends discovered an echo that repeated whatever you called into it. Theo almost shouted something silly, then remembered Ava's snow-letter and how good kind words had felt to hear.
So instead they called out gentle things: you are brave, you are a good friend, goodnight. The mountain sent each kind word back, softer and rounder, wrapping the whole meadow in them. Lumi glowed a little brighter with every echo.
Even Pip squeaked a tiny kindness and heard it return. Kind words, they learned, often come back to us, the way a thank-you had traveled between Milo and Ava. The echoes faded slowly, like a lullaby made of good things.
