The Moon Bakery
Ages 4–8 · generosity
The moon bakery opened its round window, and the friends kneaded dough shaped like little stars. Milo thought about keeping the warmest one for himself, then remembered how good sharing had felt since the very first night with Pip.
So they carried a basket of star-buns around the meadow, giving one to Pip, one to the sleepy fireflies, and one to Nora, who had once been too shy to ask. Lumi glowed over the basket, keeping the buns warm and the giving gentle.
The more they gave, the more the meadow filled with soft thank-yous and crumbs and laughter. Sharing what they made, they found, baked a joy bigger than any single bun. Full and happy, the friends yawned their way toward bed.
