The Kindness Train
Ages 4–8 · community
A little train of linked leaf-cars rolled up to the meadow, and to climb aboard you had to give one helpful act. Milo looked around and saw everyone the friends had helped all season: Pip, the sleepy dragon, the shy fireflies, and more.
One by one they each did a small kindness, coupling the cars, sharing a seat, humming Pip's lullaby. Every helpful act made the train roll a little farther. Lumi lit the front lamp, and Theo, patient now, waved others aboard first.
The kindness train carried the whole gentle community around the meadow, with no one left behind. Every small act, they learned, keeps the whole journey moving. The wheels clicked like a slow heartbeat, and the passengers grew drowsy and glad.
